17.02km!

Well, I managed to get another long run under my belt after the weather was kind of me and gave me lovely, lovely drizzle. It was pretty good going - I didn't stop once to wipe sweat from my eyes and kept a decent pace, although you'll notice the graph does gradually slope down as I progress. Why, you ask? Possibly hunger. I hadn't carbo-loaded enough, I think, and that was the result.

It was another tour of Gateshead with a bit of Newcastle too - a very diverse route past The Angel of the North, suburbs, streets, the Tyne Bridge and the Quayside. Nice to see that the Quayside Market on a Sunday is looking a lot more healthier these days too - I almost bought myself some lovely German sausage, though remembered I had to finish the run...

Final time isn't too bad - it definitely beats 2hr10min last year and I know I could run further. I had a bit of a minor blister and my arms ached something rotten (strangely, not my legs...) though I was extremely happy I still got what it takes to take part in the GNR. Coming soon - the return of the justgiving page so I can start pimping myself!

I wonder what number I'll received this year...?
