Into Week 6 of Training

Well I've missed doing my blog for a few weeks with a combination of work, illness and a trip to London...but thankfully the training has continued.
I did have to miss 3 runs - including a long run - a couple of weeks ago due to a nasty viral thing but I am back on track now. I did a long run of 2 hours last weekend before a trip to London and am scheduled to do a 2 hours 40 minutes one this weekend - snow permitting!
I got some new running shoes last week courtesy of Adidas (part of a competition prize) and they are amazing. The continental tyre base has come in useful with all this snow and ice!
I am definitely finding the marathon training tougher this time and would really like to be pushing on a bit more at the moment but I'm trying to be patient.
One day I'd like to wake up a much faster runner!....
