Well thats all folks!!!

Just been out for my last run of the week and of the training program. Felt really tough tonight- did 3 tonight and 3 last night. Could feel every niggle, could't get my trainers tight/loose enough and my calves feel really tight. Not good is all I can say. Think I'd struggle doing 6 let alone 26 but it does normally take a good 3 miles for me to settle into a rhythm so hoping I'l be fine.
Looking back to when I started training at the end of January (was a bit late starting due to rubbish weather) I know I've come so far. Just dont feel like ive done enough though. Have clocked up around 300 miles my longest beign 18. Was so gutted I couldnt get my 20 in as I was ill. Have had a few weeks of being ill so its had its toll. This time last year I struggled to do 3 miles so I know I should be very proud of my achievements.
As Sunday is looming very close now I am getting scared. I've never thought I wouldnt be able to do anything and Im really doubting myself. So many people I would be letting down if I werent to finish. But thats not going to happen!!!! Keep visualising finishing and getting that medal- all the training, cold weather, dark nights, not socialising, living, breathing, eating and dreaming of marathon day will all be worth it.
So in 3 days time it'l all be over. I can see myself getting a bit emotional at the end. Hope to just enjoy it. Would love sub 5.30 but we will see Il be happy with sub 6 but as its my first marathon I just want to soak it all up.
Well off to have some more carbs now and hoping to get packed. Fingers crossed my neck will be less stiff in the morning.
The next time I post I'l have my medal! Cant say Im really looking forward to it being over- what am I going to do after!!!!!
