'Fat Boy' Rides Again!! by ratclima

The mental scars from l'Etape have nearly healed and once again I stare at the black ribbons of tarmac whistfully.  I have promised myself to start putting some miles back on the bike.  Maybe I'll become an eco friendly commuter and cycle to work?  I could modify the kids go kart as a trailer and do the weekly shop by bike?  Maybe, maybe ......

Or I could pick up on the suggestion of my other mate, Jim 'Blue Nose to the Tarmac' Freeman, and look to plan a little run out from John O'Groats to Lands End?  Apparently, as you'd expect travelling north to south, it's all downhill.  I'm certain it's not like rowing the Atlantic and I'm sure it's better to wear clothes to prevent chaffing than not?  He's keen anyway; although I don't think he cycles much, if at all, at the moment but when has that ever stopped anyone?

So it's off to the pub for a few pints and an idea might just turn into reality, watch this space.....
