Too good to be true! Didn't know I had a calf muscle until!!!

I knew I shouldn't have trained for this! Out for a quick run whilst the kids were busy and pop goes my calf. Rest, Ice, Compression & Elevation for a week and I had to pull up again on my next run out. Nothing else for it but to get on my bike to try and keep some level of cardio fitness.
I've now tried some sports massage and am waiting to get out this weekend to see if this has improved things. Still very sore after the pummelling session and tight but stretching like billy o and fingers crossed.
