Torres or Torrans for the Virgin London Marathon

Jan1720106:22 p.m.

First time back since christmas,  like everyone else struggle with the weather but was able to get out  every day with my programme except for two days and i will come back to that.

Wednesday the 30th Dec ran 5.08 miles in 42mins 59 secs 8,27,,,  New Years Eve ran 3.42 miles in 27mins 17 secs 7,58,,that night went to my Cricket Club to see in the New Year, kept myself right did not go over board even though next day was my day off.

New Years Day means old crocks match (football) charity match and all proceeds went to my charity EPILEPSY ACTION the match finish up 6 each but the most important thing was we raised Three Hundred and sixty pounds,in the afternoon we all went up to the Cricket Club were we hold a Family Charity Day and a further Four Hundred and Five pounds was raised.

Back on the roads on Saturday roads still icey ran 5.3 miles 44mins 01 secs 8,18,, that night we held a charity poker night and whilst it was a very snowy night we still raised One Hundred and ninty pounds, i have had a great responce over the Christmas and New Year period.

Back to the long run for Sunday  and ran 11.27 miles in 1.33..29  8,18,, using the Hal Higdon,s training programme Intermediate 2.

Tuesday went out ran 3.49miles in 29.32.. 8,26,, but did not enjoyed the run was suffering with pains in my chest down my left hand side, went to work the next day but by early afternoon went to hospital check heart, blood xray the chest could not find anything but still very painfull could not run that night or Thurday, by Friday night took a hot shower and was trying some chest exercises and started to bring up wind ,looks i had trapped wind all that time has this ever happened to anyone out there it had scared me for a couple of days.

So back on the road on Saturday whilst the chest still tender for the first couple of miles soon cleared by the finish  6.3 miles in 51,17,  8,08,, snow returned again but was able to run ok.Sunday long run day conditions still snowy but was able to run 8.8 miles, every third week the programme comes down on the long runs so i made the most of it.
