Well deserved rest

On and off since mid summer I have had a niggle on my left hip- no pain when running really but pain afterwards when I rotate my hips- I had a little physio early October because I was concerned that it wasnt going away and she said I have hypermobile hips, weak gluts and tight ITB, she advised some exercises and to massage the ITB (which I forgot about!!)
At the same time I got some strong anti inflams from the doctor- I did a couple of 10 milers and a couple of halfs in the space of 4 or 5 weeks prior so it wasnt like the hip niggle was stopping me running- but I went on holiday 10/10 and forgot my anti inflams and on that holiday i did a few runs and the pain went into both hips
On saturday just gone I had some eyeball popping vomit inducing (almost) ITB massage by the physio- then I had a 5 mile friengly league race on Sunday - and Monday my hips were both feeling it so I decided to have a total week off from running, I have ordered a foam roller, and book and dvd to go with it from Amazon.
I am kind of missing the running but im enjoying the rest too ive had a busy year running wise and a successful one race wise so I feel ive earnt the rest and I am pleased to notice my hips are feeling considerably better. Will be good and wait until Monday to run
