blowin the cob webs away

After a day sat in the office when I got home I decided it was time to dust off the trainers and put them to use again. Getting all dressed up it felt like my affair with the streets was being re kindled. A little apprehensive but excited as well.
The sun was out and I could not wait....
The first few miles I was slugglish, probbly all the wine drunk and take aways sitting on my hips and belly! Knees felt a little doggy as well, but I kept reminding my self that it was only 2 weeks ago since I had ran 26.02 miles and I could still do it.
Music playing, old and new running route I soon settled down and started to really enjoy it all. Came to a point where i could have taken the shorter run home or the long run and instinct kicked in to push your self that extra bit and took the longer route.
Passed a lot of fellow runner from the area, with a quick nod and wave we all carried on with our runs.
Even a little beasty hill did not bother me....
Arrived home 1 hour later fully satified that my affair was not over and 6.37 miles covered.
Once reality kicked in that I still had a house to pack up, did a couple of hours packing all to be moved tomorrow.
hope the dust stays off the trainers and start training again for another challenge
happy running x x

Dave_Morgan98 'Well done you. A good distance covered. Good luck with your packing and I hope the move goes well. I'm sure the dust will stay off the trainiers . . . it's addictive. Good to see you getting the hang of this blogging lark . . . I have the privilege of being your first blog follower ;o)' added 8th May 2012
