A catch up

Feb1720082:16 p.m.

Hello,

Is it me or is this year going as fast as the last one??  Mid February already although with all this sunshine it feels more like mid April. By now i had planned to have lost a stone since Xmas and be clocking up the miles. In reality though, the scales have been hidden as however good you feel before you get on them you always feel worse when you get off. If you have lost anything then its always not enough -  staying the same or gaining makes you feel like giving up and seeking solace in the freezer full of ice -cream ( I buy it for the kids - honest!!)  So -  have vowed to just eat better, exercise that bit more in general and try to get running 4 times a week. I am now trying to put this into practice!

Been running a few times and its getting a bit easier. I can't believe that i was regularly running 6-7 miles last year and felt fine. Currently 3 feels like a marathon. But, i'll continue to plod, knowing that every little run is at least taking me in the right direction.

I have also cancelled my gym membership as i really wasn't using it . Knowing that i was paying for a posh gym near work -  but not actually using it much -  made me not go the cheap convenient but pay as you go gym near home. Only thing is the home gym is full of the body builder men and all of the people you went to school with 20 years ago. Still ,i'll give it a try .

Hope you are all well and happy. I have just been reading the London marathon blogs  -  people working up to their long runs -  i felt v jealous!!!  I might do it ...... one day
