An improvement...

After Fridays disatrous run I was not looking forward to my 60minutes run on Saturday.
Another hot day - I fuelled up better and eventually went out about 6.15pm after the sun had gone down. It was still 20 degrees out there but it was beautiful - no wind, red skies, fantastic countryside, quiet and peaceful.
It was so lovely to run slowly and take it easy. I aimed this run at 11min mile pace - My mile splits were: 10:50, 11.01, 10.53, 11.03, 11.05, 11.26(for the last 0.5 mile as I slowed right down as was nealy home and did not want to make a detour!) - overall pace was 11.01 - spot on - very pleased with this and felt great at the end of it, could have gone further. Spent the rest of the evening on a lovely high - drinking margaritas and watching X factor!!!
Good luck to everyone racing today - hope the temperature comes down a bit.
Well done to Wales on a another superb performance in the rugby this morning - bring on Ireland. :D
