It has not gone to pot yet.....

Jul21201111:25 p.m.

but there is still time...

It is that time of year again – Summer Holidays.  My boys finished school last Friday and everything usually goes to pot as all routine goes out of the window especially any sort of exercise.  I am lucky that I am self-employed so that I don’t have too many childcare issues over school holidays, although I end up juggling; entertaining the boys and trying to working along with everything else and get frustrated as nothing gets done properly.  Still it is great to spend some quality time with them.

Traditionally I have not been able to stick to any sort of training schedule over the summer months but this year I am determined to continue  - which so far has meant early starts and running before my husband goes to work or late evening runs.  So far so good – I am following a half marathon schedule and thinking about completing one, sometime in mid-October, so far Cardiff seems to fit the bill, but have not booked it yet.  The other exciting thing is that my husband has started running and is also following the same training plan.  We just need to take the plunge now and book a half marathon.

We will see how the next 6 weeks of summer holidays goes first – will keep you updated.

This could be a real bonus because at least he'll understand your need to train and will support you. And vice versa. Good luck with the training :)' added 22nd Jul 2011
