why is my brain so lazy

Hey everyone,

 

My training plan has totally gone to pot today :-( , trailed myself outta bed this morning to go 4 a swim b4 work but the pool was out of order! its constantly out of order when you need it at my gym, my legs were killing from hockey on sat hence the swim so didnt do much in the gym wandered round tried a bit of rowing and headed to the steam room. Then was meant to do circuits class after work but got delayed so missed that not off to a great start really. Hockey training later so lets hope thats active may not be as sat was a hard game if not mite try a short run after to try and lossen up. Got spin tomorrow before work cannot wait 4 that joy :-) Anyway to top the day off i ate way 2 many sweets and ate far too much bread for tea. Maybe i should start again tomorro :-)

  • a_bet_made_me 'Don't go overboard in your training!!!!! Think about how many times you run the length of the hockey pitch in a game or indeed training session, and the change of speed, change of direction... it all mounts up to being a big session!!!!! At this stage getting the ground work in is important, if you are doing a circuits class, spin class, swimming, hockey training during the week... add these IN to your plan... my only advice is to do ONE run each week out on the roads... this should turn in to your long slow run increasing from approx 6 miles the first week by no more than 15% per week in distance, and drop back a few miles every 3 weeks..... your non "running" activities will give you the cardio!!!! Good luck!!! (What you are doing now would get you around a marathon no problem... tomorrow!!!)' added 11th Nov 2008
