The rollercoaster continues - advice please!

I've just typed this once and managed to delete it so it will now no doubt be shorter!
I'M SCARED! Did a half marathon this morning in good time (2h05) but I've no idea where the other 13.1 miles are going to come from, the only place I can think of is my head!
Did 20 miles on March 9th and felt great (well that's how I remember it now) - seriously it was not as bad as today and that has been my longest run. After that I was confident that the marathon was in my sights - today I'm just SCARED.
For the last couple of weeks I'vebeen telling anyone who would listen(no time to blog) that I was really enjoying the training now blah blah blah!!
In between the 20 and today I've done a couple of 2 hour runs and a 10k race and a couple of gym sessions please can someone tell me I've done enough. I will go and see Andy at the gym on Weds but he runs about 7 marathons a year and I'm not sure he understands my fear (let alone my mad life of a business and 2 small children but a husband who still cooks amazing roasts - lots of brownie points for him from the in laws this weekend!)
I wish I knew what made the difference, the only thing I can come up with is pasta the night before a big run which I didnt do yesterday - have discovered gels - oh my gawd how disgusting!!

DPH 'If you got a 20 under your belt, your training shouldn't be too far off the mark, although I've been following the Runners World Schedule, which has about 4 or 5 (you'd think I'd know by now!) runs each week, with the long one on the Sunday. WHich Gels are you using? I "discovered" thanks to friends at the running club, "Go Gels", which aren't too bad to take (they say you can take them without needing water, although I usually have a swig to wash it down). Although all the flavours are palletable, I've found the "tropical" ones are the best for me. You can get them in most sports shops, and certainly ASDA. I think most of us are getting worried about April 13th, but fingers crossed, you'll be fine.' added 24th Mar 2008

kizzi10000 'I was scared before last year - and I had only done a half a few weeks previously as my longest run, so you're ahead of me. Stock up on the past and try the Go Gels - SO much more palatable than the Lucozade ones. If you've done 20m, you CAN do the marathon. The crowds are amazing and will really help you round. I still managed to get round, even if I did walk it, but I still did it - and so can you. It's last minute nerves and probably natural. Try and enjoy the taper - not much more you can do now without risking injury. Good luck x x' added 24th Mar 2008

secret_housewife 'If you have done a 20 miler and enjoyed it then take heart !! As you say, you didn't eat your pasta before the Half so don't worry. This whole thing is such a roller coaster of unknowns, nerves and learning. I am trying to be very positive and find myself chanting " I can do this. I wil do this " at hard points on my runs - it seems to work, although I do get some odd looks from passers-by !! Oh, and I like Go Gels too - they are easy to swallow and do make a difference. I take them , 1 before I go and then about every hour. You can do it !!!! S' added 24th Mar 2008
