4am bus!

Oct13200810:55 p.m.

Just found out that our tour party has been assigned the 4am bus to Staten Island from Midtown.

I am seriously considering making my own way there later in the morning.

Any ideas anyone?

Will your charity have a team out there? If so it might be worth asking one of the charity people if they have any ideas. I'm on the 5am bus and am also relying on jet lag and excitement meaning I'll be up early. I've also been told many times that you don't get much sleep on the night before a marathon and it's almost a relief to get out of bed! Hilary' added 14th Oct 2008

To get there with the transport that they put on for you takes a bit of the pressure off. The time really flies. Take plenty of warm clothing and bin bags. I went charity shopping last year and bought jumpers, jogging bottoms and just took them off right before the race. You have a clear bag that you deposit at the start so you can take magazines and books along with you. And if you end up not being able to get a taxi they close the bridge way before the race and you might get stuck on the wrong island!' added 14th Oct 2008
