Just do it Foxy!

If you have had any thoughts about doing Olympic distance - just do it!
To me it was no harder than a sprint - does that seem bonkers? I appear to take quite a while to get going so sometimes on a sprint I'm just about ready by the time I've finished. The only area you would need to be careful is the swim - it's a long way - everything else just seems to happen - maybe I'm not appreciating that not a lot of people have the kind of endurance that I appear to have - being built for comfort and not for speed I seem to get into some kind of plodder zone.
So here I am contemplating doing it next year and getting my time down to about 3 to 3 1/2 hours - I'm never going to crack the 3 hours but it would be good to aim to be a bit quicker. So obviously it wasn't that bad - as soon as I finished I knew I wanted to do another - got my addiction well and truely back!
Why don't you join me - it's a nice weekend away too!? It's a really good atmosphere there are people cheering you along - and laughing - but that was because I couldn't go round the turn without putting my foot down! Must practice bike skills! Also must not put goggles on upside down!
If you're a plodder then the longer distances seem to be the way forward - I actually got faster the longer I was out - see bonkers but only seconds!
