The last run with a distance in double figures with added heat!

Apr1120101:47 a.m.

I missed one of my runs last week so I rolled it into yesterday's making a distance of 14 miles (13.75 to be exact!) and thanks to the great British weather not knowing it's arse from it's elbow it was around 16-17 degrees. I had been curious to know how I'd get on in the heat as it's one of my biggest fears for marathon day. I guess it wasn't too bad over this kind of distance but it was noticably harder to breathe/get oxygen and it wasn't as easy as my previous runs of this length. Nevertheless I managed a time of 2 and a half hours (Just under 11 minutes a mile). Still on course for my sub 5 hour marathon fingers crossed!

I'm afraid for one day only I'll be praying for cooler weather on marathon day. I now have only 6(!) runs left before the marathon and all are well down into single figures. The tapering is well underway.

See y'all on the start line!
