Raising my standards!

Jan1920108:56 p.m.

Ok so with Christmas and the seemingly never ending ice I am pretty far behind with my training. Nevertheless, I feel I reached an important point yesterday when I managed to do my 5 mile run wiithout stopping once. This may not seem very good to some of you more dedicated runners who haven't had practically a month off but for me it is an important milestone (or should I say 5 milestone) I have 3 more of these to complete this week and then my long run on Saturday which I am aiming to complete 8 miles without the stops!

After this week I really feel like I will be able to up my game with the training and really push myself!

Oh, it also helps that my asthma has pretty much become non existent!

Hope everyone elses training is going ok!

xx

  • lone_runner 'Hi Sophia, welcome back and Happy New Year!! It looks like we are all in the same boat regarding the interuption to our training, but you will soon catch up. Just remember to take it easy for the first couple of weeks and you will be fine. I am so glad to see the back of that ice, I just wouldn't risk running in it, far to dangerous. All I've done in the last 3 weeks is eat mince pies and I'm starting to look like one!! Enjoy the balmy weather while it lasts. Pete.' added 19th Jan 2010
