Yes, me again!!! Whoop whoop! Only 3 sleeps to go!!!
Went for my test run tonight, just to check everything was in working order. Didn’t bother taking the G Man, as it was literally just a quick loop round the dock, about 2 miles. Everything is in good working order! Phew!! So that completes my training runs. 10 months of training completed!!
I can’t believe how far I’ve come; it really has been a journey. The first half of the training really worked on my speed, the second half endurance. It’s worked really well and I have actually seen the improvements in having completed x3 20 milers. Being on here has helped no end; I’ve learnt a lot from everyone - those with years and years of experience as well as newbies like myself ! So thank you for all the support and advice you’ve provided! More importantly though, thanks for all the giggles you’ve provided along the way!
So that’s it really, I’m as ready as I’ll ever be! The bunting is up, the pubs have got their banners out, we just need to fill the streets of London now. Whatever the weather brings, I intend to have the best day of my life! I’ll be slopping on the lotion, drinking the drinks, and working my little legs like ickle cogs in a machine. I am a machine and I can run a marathon....lol I really must find my Non-marathon runner’s guide to running a marathon – now where did I put it? hahaha
I am RED start and thanks Firefly for getting the meet up sorted for us Reds. I shall float on by the Lucozade stand providing I’ve made my toilet stops. I am obsessed with getting my toilet stops in.
