It all went wrong!

Sorry for delay in updating My Blog
But it has been a long road,
You see it all went wrong, I went to a party and stupidly had one smoke, you guessed it, I was hooked like glue again. For 2 months I have been fighting to break the disgusting habit.
Then just when I thought I had broke the habit again , I was hit by the worst running injury, that I have ever had, the doctor informed me that I had torn my calf muscle away from my shin bone, I could hardly walk.
Well that was it, I screamed “what is the point in trying to get fit, I grab the first packet of fags I could get my hands on! Very stupid, and I should have known better! So for the last 6 weeks I have spent a considerable amount of time recovering from the injury and fighting the nicotine gremlins.
I kept saying to myself ‘I am not training if I am smoking’ and finally last week I kicked the habit again, I hope for the very last time. Well to my surprise on Thursday I came home from work, only to find that I had been lucky enough to secure a place in the London marathon.
Well I can tell you this, it has made me so determined in my training that I have not even thought about a cigarette, well until I wrote this. Even now, I can honestly say that I don’t even have the slight urge to have one, My mind is totally focused on training and completing the marathon.
I sure that 22/04/2012 is going to be an amazing day.
Today was my first run since my injury. Only 5k but it felt so good.
