Slow start to the week
Jan25201210:45 p.m.
Training's been a struggle so far this week.
Monday I attempted to do some running fastish up a hill. Plan was to run up eight times but had to settle for running halfway up five times.
Better than nothing I told myself.
Should have done some strength stuff yesterday but never really got round to it.
I didn't really know what to do today, except that it was important to try and get back on track somehow.
Set of on a five miler but went too fast and did the first mile, including walking a few paces up a hill, in 8.45!!
The next three miles were stop/start and not much fun either.
Mile five was mostly downhill and at last I put in some worthy effort and ran it in 7.49.
Tried Monday's hill again twice but still only got halfway up.
Better than nothing!
I am now resorting to watching Run Fatboy Run for inspiration.

reenee_62 'Lol i used to get disapointed that i couldnt get to the stop of the hill either, then realised your meant to time yourself, see how long it takes you to get out of breath, e.g. 30 secs, carry on at reps of this time for that session, then maybe try up it the next week. Avs123 'Good choice of film :) I despise hill running, probably something to do with the 6mile run my dad took me on in 2008 or 2009 which went over fells, with insane hills, and led to me being unable to walk properly thanks to a dodgy hip. You're doing well though, hills are tough, just keep telling yourself you can do it and you can beat the hill and you will :) ' added 27th Jan 2012
