Slow start to the week

Jan25201210:45 p.m.

Training's been a struggle so far this week.

Monday I attempted to do some running fastish up a hill. Plan was to run up eight times but had to settle for running halfway up five times.

Better than nothing I told myself.

Should have done some strength stuff yesterday but never really got round to it.

I didn't really know what to do today, except that it was important to try and get back on track somehow.

Set of on a five miler but went too fast and did the first mile, including walking a few paces up a hill, in 8.45!!

The next three miles were stop/start and not much fun either.

Mile five was mostly downhill and at last I put in some worthy effort and ran it in 7.49.

Tried Monday's hill again twice but still only got halfway up.

Better than nothing!

I am now resorting to watching Run Fatboy Run for inspiration.

You're doing well though, hills are tough, just keep telling yourself you can do it and you can beat the hill and you will :) ' added 27th Jan 2012
