Relaxing weekend
May16200910:11 a.m.
The FLM was 3 weeks ago now and I cannot use the excuse of it to not do exercise now. Since the marathon I have had a stomach bug that lasted a week, very dodgy and painful toenails, practical exams at work, weddings to go to and then my school had Ofsted so keeping up the fitness was quite low on my list.
I have done a couple of half an hour runs and plan to go for an hour tomorrow (today I have a slight hangover so don't think constant movements will help it). What I have done is started swimming which I find a lovely change to running and have been a few times in the last couple of weeks and plan to go today (I think it will help my hangover!)
Tennis as well will be an option - if the weather improves and still cycling to and from work each day. My friend and I may do the London to Windsor bike ride. I have never done a bike race before so could be fun (or so busy that I go over the handle bars)
In terms of running though I have a 5K, 10k and half marathon coming up between now and late September so I will have to get back into it shortly! Not missing those 20 mile odd runs at the weekend.
