Start of training

Training begins:
I have kept up so I can still run 10K easily so started with a 10K in the freezing weather and when I finished was almost frozen solid. Plan was to run in the week but snow stopped that! So gym and swim X2 this weekend. I can't run for longer than half an hour on the tredmill before dying of boredom so I combine my workout with a long swim. Yesterday did 3K on the running and 2K in the pool - today, once I get myself out of bed - 5K running and 1 and a half K in the pool is the plan.
The aim is to do 4 10Ks before the new year so have 3 to go....so weather depending should be fine - then up the anti after then. I hope!

zoegooch76yahoocouk 'Oh well - back and knee injury means the marathon is out! Good luck to all you doing it instead. My goal in April has changed to a 5K swimathon. That way my joints will stay where they are!!' added 2nd Jan 2011
