The marathon course

The real,- BERLIN-MARATHON is one of the most attractive races in the world, with more than its fair share of historic sights lining the route. The course starts and finishes next to one of the capital’s most famous landmarks – the Brandenburg Gate – and takes a route via many more notable spots such as the Reichstag and Berliner Dom. More than 40,000 runners take part in the race every year, and are cheered on by more than a million spectators lining the course.

The real,- BERLIN-MARATHON route is very flat, providing ideal conditions for that PB or your first marathon. Although it’s only by taking part that you’ll really find out what the race is like, the following section will give you a good idea of what sights and sounds will greet you on race day.
