Don't be shy if you live in a neighbouring county, Bucks, Beds, Cambs, Essex or North London, you will be welcome here!
The venue is Verulamium park in St Albans, chosen as it has plentiful parking and is a short distance from a couple of railway stations and the M1,A1,M25 so no excuse for not getting here!
The park also has things to keep non runners occupied so you can bring a support crew and they won't get bored!
The venue has two cafes to choose from for post run refreshments and/of for those requiring a little more sustenance the Fighting Cocks pub is but a short walk away.
As for the distance, well I think 10k or thereabouts should suit most, enough to know you have had a run but not daunting for those that have yet to go further. It's a day for all RB'rs so let me know what we should do distance wise and it can be tailored to suit, even on the day. As for pace, then the only rule is that no one will be left behind, so again suitable for all.
As for the route, on the suitable for all theme it will avoid the lake in the park as I'm sure Roxy would be trying to chase the ducks so best we give that a miss!
It's a day to appreciate Oggie's inspiration so let's enjoy that and wear orange and raise a few bob for charity while we're at it.
Myself, Roxy, Marc and Tania are already signed up for this one - its going to be great.
