70 MILE BIKE RIDE.
Posted on: 04 May 2008
Well today i moved up the distance to my next level, well pleased as i didnt go to bed till 2am and had a good session of ale the night before, was out the door by 7am ready to go.I had my new tires and tubes fitted on bike and was looking foreward to a puncture free day.Back to the ride distance covered was 70 miles on a fairly hilly route taken me through Durham, consett, stanley ,beamish, chesterlee st ,washington, gateshead ,jarrow and hebburn was like a north east tour.Total time riding was 3hr 57 mins heart rate 139 bpm average pace was 17.6 mph was a good days training as next two weekends i got two triathlon races both classed as sprint distances i think, looking foreward to putting all three sports together and see how i do,will most likley have an easy week this week to rest up for the race will see how i feel.
